Alright. This was Shaniko’s hotel and cafe. Its historic beauty is now for sale. I’d buy it and serve Allann Bros Coffee just for the heck of it.
This was taken right outside of Kent, Oregon. We believed this belonged to Kent, but he was late for his rent, and was booted when he couldn’t pay one cent.
I imagine one cent went a long ways back then.

From The Dalles, south on 197, play “Today Your Love, Tomorrow The World” by the Ramones, then bob your head and turn left on Lower Eight Mile Road, take three sips from your coffee, then you’ll make a slight right on Emerson Loop Road. If you miss this house, you’re a dufus and belong in Dufur.

Go over to the Dalles. Head south on 197. Turn right on Eight Mile Road. Can’t miss it. Then turn right on Japanese Hollow. Then get out of your car, or off your horse. Pour a cup of joe, or pop a top of Coke, and relax.
